Dr. Christine Woods, LCSW

Dr. Christine Woods is the owner and CEO of Crowned Counseling. She received her Master of Social Work and Doctor of Education degrees at the University of Missouri. Affectionately known as “a therapist’s therapist,” Dr. Woods works with therapists to offer support as they also do the work of a therapist. With Dr. Woods, every session is an experience. Her expertise and dynamic connection with her clients produce an environment conducive to vulnerability and healing. She has effectively facilitated change with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Dr. Woods’ guiding philosophy is that all people are innately resilient but that we all at some point need a gentle nudge or reminder of our resilience. With this in mind, she works to assist clients in rediscovering their inner strength to overcome life’s obstacles. Dr. Woods also offers coaching, consultation, and training.

Dr. Woods has extensive trauma training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brainspotting, and Motivational Interviewing.
