Dr. Christine Woods is the owner and CEO of Crowned Counseling. She received her Master of Social Work and Doctor of Education degrees at the University of Missouri. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Woods works with clients who have a wide range of mental health concerns, including emotional, physical, racial, and spiritual trauma. Affectionately known as “a therapist’s therapist,” Dr. Woods works with therapists to offer support as they also do the work of a therapist.
With Dr. Woods, every session is an experience. Her expertise and dynamic connection with her clients produce an environment conducive to vulnerability and healing. She has effectively facilitated change with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Dr. Woods’ guiding philosophy is that all people are innately resilient but that we all at some point need a gentle nudge or reminder of our resilience. With this in mind, she works to assist clients in rediscovering their inner strength to overcome life’s obstacles. Dr. Woods also offers coaching, consultation, and training.
Dr. Woods is licensed in the states of Missouri and Texas, with extensive trauma training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brainspotting, and Motivational Interviewing.
Dr. Cayla Page is a licensed clinical social worker and three-time graduate of the University of Missouri, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, and Ph.D. in Social Work. She began her career as a Specialized Alternative Care Case Manager, supporting children and families within the child welfare system. In May 2021, following the completion of her MSW, Dr. Page transitioned into clinical practice as a mental health therapist.
Though she had long been mentored by Dr. Christine Woods, Dr. Page officially joined the clinical staff at Crowned Counseling in December 2021. Dr. Page provides therapy to individuals across the lifespan and brings a strong foundation in trauma and attachment research to her practice. She deeply values the role of authentic relationships and connection in the healing process and takes a personalized, client-centered approach to care — recognizing that every individual’s story is unique.
She works with a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Dr. Page is trained in multiple evidence-based modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. Her integrative approach allows her to draw from a range of therapeutic frameworks to best support each client’s healing journey.
